TICKETS FOR THE 2014 WATERFORD AUCTION:
The amount of your tax deduction is the excess of your ticket price over the fair market value of the goods and services provided to you. The School will determine that amount and issue tax receipts following the event.
CONTRIBUTION OF AUCTION ITEMS:
Tax rules require that we acknowledge gifts of $250 or more. Each donor will receive an acknowledgement of the gift and a statement as whether the institution provided anything in return. Any value reported on the acknowledgement is the value supplied by the Donor. Please consult your tax advisor as to deductions.
PURCHASE OF AUCTION ITEMS:
A buyer's deduction for the items purchased at the Auction is the excess of the amount paid for the items over the fair market value. You will receive an invoice for the items you purchased setting forth the estimated fair market value for those items and the required tax disclosure statement. Please consult your tax advisor as to deductions.
All proceeds will benefit the Waterford School
